Easy Steps To Weight Loss

Weight loss does not have to be difficult. In fact, an easy way to approach weight loss is to de-clutter your diet, just like you would de-clutter your house.

1) start with things you really don't need, but like to keep around the house anyways.

This is especially true for drinks. Things like coffee, tea, water, wine, milk these are things that most of us drink on a normal day and may miss if we cut it out completely. However, Juice, pops and 'fruit drinks' These just don't belong in your fridge, or in your diet. Every once in a while is fine, but de-cluttering these items out of your day can help you cut some significant calories.

Food examples of clutter would be chips, crackers, preserves, anything that stays in your house for years on end, that you don't really crave or enjoy, but since they are there...you tend to eat them.

Getting rid of these items will help you eat less, WITHOUT forcing to you to get rid of the foods you really do enjoy.

2) Stick with whole foods and de-clutter the fast food. A good rule of thumb is to restrict your grocery shopping to the outside aisle of the store. The most important thing is to stop buying foods that are packaged with weird ingredients lists. The simpler the ingredient list, the better the food. This doesn't mean all packaged foods are bad - There are still some packaged products that are made with a few, simple ingredients.

This is just a simple easy rule of thumb that generally helps people avoid overeating.

Another easy rule, is to make sure you always have the foods you do enjoy readily available in your house.

Nothing spells diet doom like the "There's nothing to eat" feeling while staring into your fridge..this typically ends in a quick drive to get a fast food dinner!

Also: It's a good idea to consider cutting back on your meat intake. Cut out as much meat as reasonable. You do NOT have to cut it out completely, that's just boring..and extreme, but cutting a little bit out may help you cut down on calories once again. You simply do not NEED to have meat at every single meal.

The goal is to get rid of the clutter, while still maintaining a high amount of variety in your diet. Variety typically comes from fruits and vegetables as well as herbs and spices (these are the 'good' foods)

The "Clutter" are the things you eat out of habit, but don't REALLY need, or like, or even crave... you just eat them because they are there.

Getting rid of this will make eating less easier. It will allow 'room' for the foods you really do enjoy, which will make weight loss easier long-term.
